31 day nail art challenge: day 1. Red Nails.

Good morning! i've been looking forward to starting this challenge for the passed few weeks.. now that it's finally begun, im wondering how long i can do it for!... we'll be moving houses sometime this month, so i really hope and pray that i'll still have enough time to do my nails! ^__^

Oh where to start!...

This, by all means, is not my first blog. I began blogging back in 2000 when Xanga was just so popular and all my (Asian) friends had a blog. I still update it occasionally because I love to write and record events in my life... but this blog will be different.

Last October, I decided to dye my hair a very, very dark brown color to hide the blonde highlights that were growing out. Well. When I dyed my hair, I was in such a hurry, that i forgot to put the gloves on... thus, staining my nails this ugly black/brown color. I decided to hide it with black nail polish... until halloween came along and i wanted to have some fun with it, so i grabbed a couple toothpicks and...

So with this on my left hand, i was so happy with the results.. until i tried using my left hand to paint on my right hand and the blobs just looked even worse. My sister then showed me a tutorial on youtube by Cute Polish and I couldn't resist trying it..

With this, my interest in nail art has sparked.

I came across a few blogs here in blogger and saw some amazing designs and nail enthusiasts, and they all just made my interest all the more.

On the first of next month, i will be starting the 31 day nail challenge. I found it on Adventures in Acetone's blog and thought it looked fun. it should be interesting to see how i'll do, being that it's the holidays and everything will be done at last minute (like usual).

While surfing the blogs some more, i found a lot of people who have already finished the challenge, or who are still in the process of it. i'm excited to start this challenge and currently, im collecting nail polish and tools for the things i plan to do. In the meantime though, i'll continue doing what i'm doing.. i'll try to learn different techniques and try different designs and i'll post them on here and on facebook (because i love [good and bad] feedback).

I'll also be posting blogs with different nail arts that i've already tried.

I'm not saying im good at nail polish and designing.. heck, if u see my pictures, you'll notice that i'm still very sloppy... but i'm having tons of fun!.. and maybe as the 31 day challenge progresses, i'll learn how to get better and better ^___^
